i just finished my temp assignment with BP, and it was pretty fun. it was definitely an eye opener. it was a new experience working in such a big company. alot of pple walking in and out. saw alot of expats and they were all friendly. but there was alot of waiting in between. it was quite a torture at times when i just sat there and watched news. i think i learned patience in tis assignment! my job? basically i am a test administrator,i administrate the test and then wait for them to fin the test and go in and say "time's up" like a teacher. so the test is 40 min and after "you can start" i sit at the pantry where there is free milo or teh tarik (i think i drank the most milo and teh tarik my entire life) and wait for the 40 mins to be up.so its a relatively easy role. my supervisors are really nice. the whole week, i did not pay for my lunch at all. it was fully paid for under my supervisor's expenses. i mean BP gave them a credit card for their expenses where they can claim! how cool is that? they were real nice and BP pple was so friendly. i really like the working environment! but i heard its pretty hard to get into. there are like 3 interviews and there are tests! i fail liao... hahaha.... but at the end of my week, they said that when i get back from my trip, there would be more test administering coming up, so they ask me to tell my agency so that they would know. i also went to other agencies to administer the test and for them to interviews. i saw different agencies and their office. must say quite impressive. overall, it was fun and i saw how big companies work..
there was this one funny instance at BP. I was in the pantry for 2 days and the first day i saw this expat and the second day he came in again and saw me again. he said " you still waiting?" i was like "ya, i went home to change and came back again to wait." he was like "that person must really not want to see you." that was like so funny! thats why i like working with Expats. they are so friendly unlike singapore counterparts who just keep to themselves. its nothing against singapore counterparts, maybe i prefer an open culture.
i am going to taiwan next week! i am so excited. finally, after so much planning and waiting, i am finally going! next week, i cant wait! i am going to eat all the famous food...... so much for my massages

speaking of massages, i have been faithfully going for my massages and i have been getting comments that i am looking skinnier! yay! finally after 12 sessions, i am getting positive comments.yes, all those painful sessions are paying off...

i have been going back to Adecco, to give them coffee and today i went back to help them to rehearse for their dinner and dance skit. and guess what? my GM and MD invited me to their Dinner & Dance on the 17th and i am going! and i m involved in the skit as the narrator! weird right? i m an ex consultant and i will be standing in front of everyone.. but who cares? it s cool that i can come together with my ex team and be the orchard branch for just one night. our skit is a blast.. it is so funny! my goodness, i must rem not to laugh... will take photos to show you the funny details....hahaahah....
