Guess what? On tues, while stoning in the mrt on the way to work.. i had a phone call from vivian, who was previously my manager in Adecco Events, and then a colleague in Adecco Orchard who just quit on fri. by tues, she found a job! WTH??!!It took me 3 months to find a contract job and she 2 days to find a perm. life is not fair... :( anyway, the funny thing is that she is working at suntec too, and those who know the long dreary route from city hall to suntec should know that it is so much better having a fren talk to you while climbing those dreaded staris and walking, no brisk walking to suntec in order to make it by 8.30am. anyway, i met her and on the way she told me quite alot of stuff for a 15min walk.I heard that my beloved Adecco environment that i so rave about has changed ever since i left. The environment there has become one that is filled with politics and saving their own asses. i felt so sad when i heard that. when i was there, i felt so safe and protected. i had seniors covering for me and we rallied around each other.there was one of the reasons why i took so long to leave. From what i hear,now the office is split into two. sigh.. life used to be so simple and innocent.. i am pretty sad to hear what has happened. its like that life no longer existed.
i just realised that UBS is going to move to raffles place in 2007! groan..no where near raffles place mrt either... if i remain there. suntec is so much of a better place why do they want to move??? urgh.... anyway, i also dunno whether i am going to stay there long enuff or not.. sigh all that uncertainty, unstability..
Thats why i agreed to go for another interview tomorrow. its also for a bank and its nearer to my place and in hr too. but i heard from a fren who is working in this company that its not very good. sigh... i dunno what to do. i have to just go for the interview and see how it goes. this one is for a longer period and there is a chance of conversion.hopefully, when UBS hears of this if i get shortlisted, they would counter offer and keep me! Private banks are usually better.. and i am starting to know the pple liao...
