This week has been an eventful period for work. on Thurs, my superviosr called me into a room for a short meeting.recap: Wed the WM HR team had a meeting, without me of course and on tues i let slip that Standard Chartered wanted me to go down for an interview and i think my supervisor caught the hint, thats why the talk. so during the discussion, he told me that he had no qualms telling HK HR Head to extend my contract to a longer term cos i was...ahem...here it goes *head swelling* had iniatitive, worked well in the team, made the team work abit on the quicker pace, had a genuine interest in the company and asked intelligent questions..hahahah head blown up liao... ahahahah... i was quite happy to hear that, shows that he took notice of everything i have been doing in the last 1 month or so. I was also trying to hint that i was looking for a longer and stable job now(HINT: PERMANENT!) Hahahah... seems like he did not get it...
he said longer contract period..damn!ahahha..see how it goes la. but i am real happy of the remarks he made of me.. *head burst* but the next day, i kanna said by another manager..sigh.. my excel skills are terrible!i took like the whole afternoon to help my manager to prepare for a presentation, i did not know what the hell was a pivot table. took the whole afternoon to figure it out til 730pm! then at the end, i said aloud " i took the whole afternoon to do a presentation!" Should have kept my mouth shut, then the manager said, "You know can liao" What the? Didn feel good about that. we were not taught powerpoint and excel during school days.. my uni need not do projects so no presentations to help hone these skills up.. so where are we supposed to get this skills from? Well, i hereby vowed to hear more about excel and powerpoint. did not feel that terrific when she asked if i knew how to do pivot table and said dunnoe. think my scoring points dropped at that point.... sigh... I called my sister and dear who does presentations all the time for their course and they too dunno.. much less me right?? So anything else i need to know about excel or powerpoint besides pivot table and charts?Anyway, my manager say that on 18th April, the HK HR manager is coming so i must impress her so that she will say yes to my headcount...evil grin will update again about that after 18th. Please pray that i can get it...
I m getting fatter!No time to go for massage or exercise. been sitting on my bum on this time. everytime after work, its like there s no moon especially on those days when i work late..
