What happened is that i wanted to talk to my boss as my contract is ending in 2 months time and i wanted to talk to him to see what is in store for me... but i couldnt get some time with him as he is always so busy... then wed night, he msged me to say that he would wan me to meet someone, who might be joining us. and i took the opportunity to sms him that when he has the time that i needed to talk about my situation and told him i only have 2 months left. after that he did not sms me back you know?? make me feel so nervous. then the next day at work when he was on the line with me, he suddenly said that he has scheduled a meeting with the head of HR, hk and will discuss about my case. That night we had a Company dinner and after the dinner, he came up to me to say that he and the head of HR has settled on some stuff and would talk to me tomorrow.. was left wondering whether is good of bad...
Anyway, last evening, Dear had to wait for me for 1 hour while i wait for my boss to come back from all his meetings before we could talk. Dear, hope that wait was justified! Anyway, during the half hour my boss told me that The head of HR has agreed to let him confirm me, and will revise my salary as well and he did not want to wait til end of oct to do so and will do it next week!Yahoo!SALARY INCREASE! i really did not expect it. you should see his smile when i started clapping my hands! hee.... that excited. i dunnoe even know the amount, i wasnt expecting so that is already a bonus liao.... yay..... he went on to let me know that there are going to be alot of changes in his population and how it is going to be like.... he also said that there is definitely room for development as they foresee that they will double population in 5 years time and if i keep it up, he will let me take more responsiblities.... Conversion->Salary increase->Career Developement: Hell yes!I am really happy that everything is resolved.
I also know that the hard work is coming in soon.. reports... presentations... meetings... but i am really happy with where i am nw, my boss trusts me and at the end of the meeting, he said that he is still pleased with my performance... Yeah! Next week, need to sit down with him for a performance review.. I am looking forward to being a permanent staff, my dear said that i was in the right place at the correct time. which i think is so true. i have another fren in same dept but difff team still waiting for headcount.. damn i shouldn have said too much in front of her, should have considered her feelings... b ut it just came bubbling out.
My dear also warned me of pple who might think i climbed too fast and warned of backstabbed. i did not even think of it. luckily i got dear to look out for me as well.. thank you dear!
Called my family to let them know the good news and naturally they are happy. trust my mum to ask if there is a salary increase.... : ) Life is good at this point....i am prepared to work hard....
IMF is coming to suntec and because of this, me and my senior would be taking turns to come in during the 8 days. i will only need to come in on Mon and Tues and work from home the rest of the days. cool right? I have a token that lets me accesses my workplace staff from home... will see how it goes. i will at work on the 1st day, going to be messy and a far walk from the place where i drop off. but its once in a lifetime time so its alright, anyway, i am too happy to grumble now... will end this happy post with special thanks to dear who stood by me whenever i felt down becos of this, my team who fought for my headcount and "promote" me to the head of HR,my boss who see the potential in me and with his talking ability got the headcount and the one above for answering my prayer...
