Managed to eat the acclaimed Donut factory's donuts.. my sister and cousins queued like 3 hours to get 2 dozen donuts. not that they din wan to buy anymore, they can only buy 2 dozen, so i got to eat one,yum..squishy goodney goodness.. must see whether do cooking shows teach how to make donuts, it seems like donuts are making a comeback here. no pictures cos we ate them so quick....
Went to UBS WM Campus, did not realised that it was the ex president's house! We spent 40 million CHF to lease the area... here are some pictures...
Went there for a whole day of training : Structured interview training,which got me depressed for a while cos my CRMS have already told me that it will take like 5 years before i can interview anyone if i stay in my current role. If this continues, my senior would be able to move up cos of the area that she is in. Thats a tad frustrating to know that talent development in my area is abit lacking now,but we will see how as time goes by, now i am learning everything i can.
Met up with my old time frens last week.Truthfully, have mixed feelings about it.Happy that i got to meet up with them to catch up, abit sad that we have changed quite abit, pple who care about the material stuff like a $4,885 necklace, 5 pairs of $500 leather shoes,a "less than 2 Thousand" cartier bracelet and plenty of coach bags, not sure whether to envy or pity. It seems like sometimes, i couldnt join the conversation anymore. i couldnt say that my make up was from Sasa when they are looking at Clinque products right?
i think Coach bags that they say were nice, are normal and not worth the price. The necklace chain look like an ah beng type of necklace, the cartier bracelet look like something that you can get from Bits & pieces, the shoes though nice, after learning that it is $500, looks at me in horror....haahahh not very brand conscious huh? my LV Bag that my parents gave me is the only luxary item that i have, and i am pretty satisfied with that.
I think as we grow up, our expectations change and our standard of living go up as we earn our money....its the circle of life i guess... Kisses,
