2nd Day- Barcelona, Sagrada Familia & La Rambla
Went to the famous Sagrada Familia in the morning. The church building designed by Antoni Gaudi (You will see more of his work later on) is still in the works. Even if you go back after 10 years, it will not be completed yet. There is alot more work to be done. hahaha... Even in the pictures, you can see the crane in the middle.

Fron far away, it is the most prominent structure in Barcelona's sky line. From far away, you cannot see the detailed carving on the wall.Below are the close ups!

How detailed is it? we even bought a book to explain what did the sculptures mean.
Inside the church. They used alot of stained glass which gives a nice effect.
Look at all the scaffolding in the church!
Arty Farty shot of the ceiling. Look at all the beams!
Gaudi drew alot of inspiration from daily things such as trees for his columns.
On the other side of the church, it looks grotty right? But upon a closer look, its real intricate work! I am pitying the person who has to paint it! Alot of work, however as my dad says there will always be demand for workers and there's good for the economy. ha
We only scheduled the morning to be here, but it was not enough time and we stayed early afternoon.Had to go back to catch a siesta. In Barcelona, the shops close from 12- 2pm for their afternoon siesta and open again at 4pm.
In the evening, we decided to walk down Barcelona's famous lane, La Rambla. We all heard about the stories about Pickpockets, so we were extremely careful. We had a "Operation Daddy", Means daddy stays in the middle and all the ladies surrounded him so that no one gets near him.But sometimes he walks so fast, we cant catch up!
La Rambla Street in the evening
Alot of buskers along La Rambla and much better that what we see here. They really doll up every night to entertain visitors.
La Rambla has different sections, one is for Buskers, One is for Artists. They are all talented!
We walked til the end of la Rambla and we were shagged! My legs hurt so bad that i had to hold on to my dad and limped home. Rem that this is only the 2nd day... and i have 8 more days of walking....
