God news!we got our flat!!!!!!!!!!Yippee.. i am going to be a sengkanger in 4 years time!!!!!!!ahhaahah.... estimated date of completion is 2012 but they have started building it so we are hoping that it can be completed as soon as possible. when we went there to scout the place, we saw that they were building the 2nd storeys already.. fingers crossed that it can be faster!

our queue number is 363 out of 316 flats, so most of the flats that we went to look at were taken before today.we were abit disappointed but on hindsight, it worked out for us. the flats that we initially wanted were either too expensive for its size or the time is not right for us. so our 13th Floor corner unit supposedly completed in 2012 feels just right for us now. gives us more time to save up so that we can renovate the place to your liking.Somemore its near my best friend, so we can come home together when the guys are out..

Couldnt sleep well last night cos excitement and worry filled my mind. i am always like that when there is a big event the next day. so its with a tired mind that i went to work today. couldnt really concentrate and i kept refreshing the hdb website to see if anyone has taken our first choice or second choice flats. and then at 2pm, after lunch we realised that someone has booked our second choice!! oh boy, with another an hour to go to our appointment time, anything can happen... so when we reached there, we scanned the tv to check if our unit was still around when our ballot number came on. our heart was still beating so fast when we sat down in front of the officer.

Immediately, she ask which floor we want and after we told her, we waited with bated breath. she was so calm and collected where two of us were so gan cheong... but we got it! Yes, our first choice is the 13th Floor, unit 347 Blk 441D.Yes we are definitely not Patang at all! Patang meaning superstitious about things such as number 13 (unlucky number), number 4 (Sound like Die in Chinese) but we have all that in our unit number and block number!haahahaha... well i heard if you put 2 4s together, it s supposed to be a good thing : ) Anyway, we dun believe la... and 13th Floor is one of the highest floors available at that time. why let superstition get in the way of getting a high floor? So 13th Floor it is.

After signing the papers, i looked at dear and suddenly thought of something and then i turned to Dear," Dear, you re stuck with me for life!" *Evil laugh* Dear just smiled at me and looks nonchalant... ahahahah... Yes,someone wants to stay with me, a lazy bum and super untidy girl ahahhhah.. my sisters al teased us and say that dear needs a calm room in our flat to get away from me.. hahhaah...hmmm.. maybe its true... a zen room....

Have to say my colleagues are a real supportive bunch. they gave me advice (Those who have flats) and those who knew about my apointment actually sms ed me to ask for the results and congrat me. Many thanks for the well wishes peeps!

Now that the flat is taken care of, the next step is marriage preparation course for us... We have registered for jan's session and its a weekend stay at the marriage preparation course's house.

Its a catholic encounter so the guys and gers sleep separately.. : ) My parents went for the same corse when they got married 26 years ago and my dad told me that to go with a open mind and share honestly. i believe that we can learn alot from this, communication skills, make up skills, finances, setting up family etc... It starts tomorrow so its a busy weekend for us...
